The Child, who prefers to be called EQ, is at the heart of the Asylum--he is the EQ to Dr. Spock's IQ
While Dr. Spock nudges the Child with reason and quiet persuasion, the Lizard, the Black Dog, and the Silver Dog nip at him with fear, depression and destruction
When he can, the Red Dog will protect the Child, but he often does it with Rage
